British Brothers make Referee History

You may have seen recent reports where brothers, Bhups and Sunny Singh Gill, made English Football League (EFL) history by becoming the first pair of British South Asians to officiate in the same Championship game. They follow in the footsteps of their famous father, Jarnail Singh, who was a pioneer in refereeing as the first Asian to take charge of a Football League match in 2004. What you may not know is that Bhups is one our very own Delaford Family! Yes, Bhups' son plays in our U9's team which is currently thriving and he has also recently decided to take up a coaching role with the club. It is a pleasure to have Bhups on board and as a role model around the club, it can only benefit the children to aspire to make it in the game. Congratulations Bhups and family for this landmark achievement. Good to have you on board and be warned we will be tapping into your refereeing knowledge and skill set.
